About Us

At welovewool, we celebrate the purity, strength and durability of New Zealand wool, no compromises.

Our aim is to maximise the potential of this renewable, sustainable resource.

We take pride in the fact that every step in the process is completed in New Zealand, by New Zealanders.

We source our wool directly from New Zealand farms with a history of producing the quality wool we require to make our products. This wool leaves these New Zealand farms bound directly for our New Zealand factories.

It is here where the real magic takes place as our Kiwi staff use their experience and passion to transform this yarn into the amazing product we have to offer. It then comes back presented as smart, hardwearing clothing for hard-working people like you.

New Zealanders know best when it comes to making clothes for New Zealand conditions and we are passionate about returning value back to the rural communities of New Zealand.

So make sure you choose the clothes that make farmers and the country successful and become a part of the revolution that is all about the passion and pride of supporting New Zealand made.

Who Are We?

A few years ago, one of our directors, Joel Dickson, was presenting a range of synthetic clothing to members of the Northern Region sheep council. At the end of the meeting a number of the council brought forward strong views in regards to sheep farmers crying over wool returns while buying and wearing cheap synthetic imports.

How can wool ever expect to compete with a cheaper globally produced product, if its own producers ignore it?

Why are New Zealand consumers buying overseas garments, when we already produce the world’s best fibre?

Joel took these ideas and ran with them, gaining the support of several New Zealand conscious businesses along the way.

South Canterbury Textiles and Whitehead Productions, who are responsible for creating our garments, have long histories within the New Zealand clothing industry. Over the years they have been instrumental in the success of many well-known brands, most of which they have seen move production offshore. They recognised the potential in the welovewool concept.

Dean Williamson, the sales director of Country-Wide Publications, who publish the hugely respected New Zealand Farmers Weekly, also shares this vision for the future of New Zealand wool, and his New Zealand owned and operated company also got in behind Joel.

From an idea to a reality, the welovewool partnership was formed.

welovewool is a company based on strong ideals with strong local support.

It is our belief that New Zealand farmers produce the world’s best fibre that is both environmentally friendly and renewable.

We know the New Zealand companies we work with have the ability to transform the destiny of New Zealand wool.

When you purchase one of our garments you are also contributing to the future of wool.

Your garment will continue to reward you for supporting New Zealand farmers and businesses, for a very long time.
